To the citizens of the City of Winnipeg and across the Province of Manitoba,
We are known for big hearts and big winters.
This February, during Festival du Voyageur, let’s do something simple and powerful:
Color Your Yard.
Using safe, washable pigments and simple stencils, decorate your snow.
Invite your children.
Invite your neighbors.
Choose a color that represents how you want to feel this winter.
Red for love.
Orange for justice.
Green for resilience.
Rainbow for wholeness.
This is not about perfection.
This is not about property value.
This is about pride.
When drone cameras rise above our streets, let them see a city that refused to fade into white.
Let them see:
Participation.
Creativity.
Cultural unity.
Winter joy.
Winnipeg does not melt under pressure.
