Protecting the Vulnerable

Normalize stepping away.
I am stepping away momentarily to take care of some of my own personal needs, but I will never stop advocating for the vulnerable sector or pointing out that we unfortunately have valued ruthless business practices far to much for far to long which has put people in leadership positions of governments and industry as well as the rich and elitist who qualify for the top 5 most serious mental health disorders status of the DMS5 making mental health not only the norm, but also the controlling influence in our lives and communities.
I need perspective that is formed by healthy thinking, not frustration for lack of attention or just asking...why.
Although I was shut down indirectly, after offering to do a Quality Assessment of services in the Vulnerable Sector Services and program area, for free, with my own time and initiatives as a pilot/mock-up draft of what we are missing in service measurable tools and indicators that will help us provide the best services (I am not saying we don't do a good job, I am saying we can do better once we see the whole picture - plus this provides real structure that qualifies these industries for more grants, research and funding dollars to support their already established programs, care and services to be able to do better)
I know this is something as a tax payer I am allowed to question, where and how are my taxes being spent, so I know being indirectly told to shut it down was an oversight of justice, because I was offering this for free to see for myself where the lacks were, that I was noticing when I worked for over 30 years in the vulnerable sector industries. (it is hard to show with out the proof)
This will be a valuable asset to our services and programs and I know this because I spent 2 years on the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority Quality Team doing the assessments for all the programs and services run and initiated by the WRHA and it proved to be a valuable creditor and funding asset, but most of all an ongoing measurable tool for quality of service in industry. (So I know how to do it, at least at the Mock-up example of what it will provide us to better understand what I am seeing, with proof).
I am a Big Fan and Proud of our current Government of Canada, Winnipeg, Manitoba, having been born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and lived here my entire life... supporting our community growth and positive initiatives has always been my favorite contribution to this City.
Right now, I need to take care of my personal initiatives and work on my future plans.
This is the perfect time to normalize stepping away, taking the time to reflect and think.
But I will not stop being an advocate for the vulnerable sectors people or the mental health issues we face everyday, they should be the first thing we control so they don't exceed our ability to control our environment and keep people well.
